Education and the Contemporary European Far Right

This project combines historical and comparative analysis to explore the educational views and strategies of the post-1945 far right in Western Europe.

The project draws on archival research in France, Italy and Germany to understand how far-right actors in contemporary Western Europe have engaged with educational practices and policies. It has received funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation (Post.doc Mobility Grant 184086). So far, the project has produced the following academic publications, provided the basis for a special issue with case studies from Eastern and Western Europe, and I have presented the findings to practitioners and policy-makers in the European Commission's Radicalisation Awareness Network.
